The Golden Compass

For this book I read a majority of the way threw its to my understanding of have just been told that the book takes a stand point quite opposite to that of the Lion the witch and the wardrobe books in that its has the underline plot of putting organized religion specifically christian one, representing it as the Magnesium a ruthless dictating organization. That's just one view of the book but its still a good adventurers journey of personal growth and exploration. This was fun to read but at times I wondered what the proper age group this book is intended for. There are a few parts that don't seem suitable for younger audiences

The Hobbit

My favorite thing about the hobbit is the attention to detail. Its one of my favorite parts of the book is its descriptive capability to the details, such as the description of clothing. You can almost picture what some of the characters could actually look like. The story of the hobbit is very appealing to me because its a story of an unlikely hero, Bilbo Baggins. This is a character that would not be found in the situation of this book. hobbits are easy going creatures they don't like confrontation and they like the plan and the normal nothing out of the ordinary and they defiantly don't like adventures. This makes Bilbo to be the a character that some can relate to, he is small and can appear to some to be weak. And thur out the book he has to come over many obstacles and grows as a person and finds himself to be more that he could ever expect him to be.

Why are Zombies Popular

I think one of the main reasons zombies are so popular is because of the fact that zombies are a satire of human civilization. One point that zombie movies always make is that people try to ignore the zombies and try to go about there live ignoring the problem. But in the end there is always a domino effect of events that leads to the zombies breaking into the human stronghold. Also in later years today zombies have become popular threw pop culture such as video games and big budget moives.
